Sylvie Coëllier (FR)
Sylvie Coëllier is Professor in
Contemporary Art History. She teaches in the Arts Department of Aix-Marseille
University. She is a member of the Research Lab for Artistic Studies of Aix-Marseille
University and is director of the ARTS collection of Aix-Marseille Publishing
Press. She wrote, edited or co-edited several books and articles for art
research books and catalogues. Her writing is mostly concerned by contemporary
interactions between the arts, by theoretical questions about the body,
performance and sculpture. About performance, she mostly published a monography
on Brazilian artist Lygia Clark : Lygia Clark (L'enveloppe). La
fin de la modernité et le désir du contact, collection "Histoire et idées des
arts", Paris, l'Harmattan, 2003, and recently edited La performance, encore, Aix-en-Provence, PUP, 2016.
